SERVER/ WAITSTAFF

ROLE:

This role is at the heart of Mangia Mangia’s operations. The Server's role is pivotal in providing an exceptional dining experience for our patrons. This role demands professionalism, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of both our menu and our customer's needs. Tasked with efficient table management, impeccable service delivery, and the ability to handle peak rush hours, the Server ensures our guests leave satisfied and eager to return.

As a Server, you'll not only interact directly with our guests but also work hand-in-hand with the kitchen staff and the management team to ensure the smooth flow of service.

In close coordination with the restaurant management, you will understand daily specials, provide menu recommendations, handle order placements, and ensure a pleasant dining experience for all guests.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Customer Experience: Ensure guests feel welcome from the moment they step into the restaurant. Provide accurate menu information, answer queries, and make suitable recommendations.

  • Efficient Service: Manage multiple table assignments without compromising the quality of service. Coordinate with the kitchen for timely order deliveries and handle special requests efficiently.

  • Billing & POS Management: Handle billing accurately and manage transactions, ensuring no discrepancies.

  • Feedback Management: Collect feedback from guests, address any concerns immediately, and escalate any unresolved issues to the management.

  • Hygiene & Cleanliness: Adhere to the restaurant's cleanliness and hygiene standards. Assist in table setups, cleaning, and sanitizing.

  • Team Collaboration: Work seamlessly with other team members, including kitchen staff, other servers, and management.

RESULTS:

  • Consistent positive feedback from guests.

  • Maintaining an error-free billing and order management record.

  • Efficient handling of peak hours without compromising on service quality.

  • Upholding restaurant values and ensuring a harmonious team environment.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience: Previous experience as a Server or in a similar role in a restaurant setting is preferred but not required. Knowledge of POS systems is a plus.

  • Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to multitask and manage stress during busy hours.

  • Knowledge: Familiarity with the restaurant's menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and any associated allergens.

  • Personal Traits: Friendly demeanor, attention to detail, and a customer-centric approach. A passion for the food and beverage industry.

SALARY:

  • Base pay is $8/hr. With tips factored in, total earnings are typically in the range of $20- $40 per hour.
